Our Name History
Creekside began in the 1970's when three sisters, Mim, Jean, and Hazel, had the vision of nuturing young minds through love. They opened our orginal location near Arden Park on Minnehaha Creek. Hence, Creekside!
While we are now by a lake in west Edina instead of the creek in east Edina, we still hold the original philosophy close as we continue to evolve along side our Creeksiders.

our mission
To protect, care for, and teach young students in a warm and caring environment. We will do this through a current curriculum, which fosters intellectual, emotional and physical growth using age appropriate resources. We will offer a quality program enhanced by nature, music, art, large and fine motor, and cognitive materials. We will stress respect for each individual as well as growth in community. We will offer professional, educated, creative teachers who understand each child’s unique qualities.
